Moroccan Art in Paris

I saw a very large exhibit of contemporary Moroccan art at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris,
The exhibit was fascinating; I've been to Morocco, but many, many years ago, and I know nothing of the contemporary culture.   The exhibit was quite large, covering several floors.   I found lots of things I liked.   Roughly speaking, you could divide the work into three broad categories. The first would be work which addresses social and political issues in contemporary Morocco; lots of video installations and things like that.  The second would be art which is Moroccan in the sense that it deals with traditions of Moroccan art and Islamic art in general.   And the third would be art which simply does not want to be "Moroccan", and wants to be in understood in the larger sphere of contemporary art.

Not sure what this was about:

The IMA itself is a wonderful building which has held up over the years;
